ジェイミーくんが英国の給食をよくする！
日本でもおなじみの英国のTVシェフ、Jamie Oliverがかねてから提言してた英国の給食をよくしようキャンペーンFeed Me Betterが実を結び、今後3年間で2億8000ポンドの追加予算をゲット（bbc）。1食当たり小学校で50ペンス、中学校で60ペンスの材料費をかけられるようになるそう（これまでは37ペンスしかかけてない小学校もあったんだそうな）。単に金額が増えるだけじゃなく、体によい新鮮な材料を使ってるかどうかもきっちりチェックしていくそうで、政府や学校にまかせっぱなしでなく、親や子供達自身も関わっていこうというもの。これってChannel 4の番組Jamie's School Dinnerでやってたんだね。
しかし単なるTV番組に終わらせないところがえらいよねえ、ジェイミーくんは。fifteenちうレストランを作ってフリーターの若者に料理や接客を実地訓練させながら叩き込んで一人前にしてるし、Poppy & Daisyの2児のパパだけあって食育にも力入れてるし。アイドルっぽい扱いされることも多いのに、実に地に足が着いてる誠実な青年だなあと感じるので、とにかく応援しちゃうんだよなあ。

Aw, this was a really quality post. In theory I'd like to write like this too - taking time and real effort to make a good article... but what can I say... I procrastinate alot and never seem to get something done.

Its like you read my mind! You seem to know so much about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you could do with some pics to drive the message home a bit, but instead of that, this is fantastic blog. A great read. I will definitely be back.
