古田監督誕生！
遂に就任要請受けましたねー。プレイングマネジャーとしてやってくんだそう。選手としては単年契約だって。体力的にはもちろん大変だろうけど、精神的な部分の方がもっとずっと大変そう。選手としての欲と、監督としての決断とを同時に抱えるんだから。
野球は荒木大輔とともに見るようになり（彼が早実で甲子園に出場してたときからのファン…年齢バレバレやん・笑）、彼のヤクルト退団で終わってたんだけど、古田が監督やるならまた応援せねば！荒木くんが1軍に復帰して試合に出たとき（復帰戦ではわずか1イニングしか投げてないけど）、古田がホームラン打ってくれて勝ったんだよね。試合後のインタビューで古田が「荒木さんがブルペンに出てきただけで神宮球場がどよめきで地鳴りがしたのを見て、本当にすごいヒトなんだなと驚いた。これは絶対打って勝たなきゃって思った打席に立ったので、打ててうれしい」てなことを言ってくれたの、すっごいうれしかった。結局その年はリーグ制覇のみでシリーズは負けちゃったけど、次の年はシリーズも制覇。あの2年間（1992年＆1993年）はほんと夢のようだった。長い間万年Bクラスだったヤクルトで、故障続きの荒木くんがまさか日本シリーズで投げる日が来るなんて夢にも思ってなかったから。
ああいう熱いプレイを期待して応援するよ！（baseballカテゴリーも作ったし）

古田、わたしも大好きです。荒木大輔は、自分の息子の名前につけるほど好きでした。
今は阪神ファンですけど、東京ドームは行きません。あんなところで野球見てどうする。てゆうか対巨人戦はあまり興味なし。野球は神宮ですよ、神宮。明るかった空が赤く染まり、薄暮になり、夜が来る頃、ビールはおいしくなるのです。
神宮球場はヤクルトの持ち物じゃないし公共施設に近いからいろいろ難しい、と古田も言っていたけど、ファンサービス、色々考えて実行してほしいな。
