clap your hands say yeahが気になるワケ
このところclap your hands say yeahにけっこーはまってて、なんでかなあと考えてみたところ、思い当たりましたよ。このへなへな感、かつてすっげー好きだったlongpigsにそっくり！ボーカルのalex ounsworthくんの声のひっくり返り具合もcrispin huntにそっくりやん。こういう声ひっくり返り系（ちょと爬虫類っぽいとも言われるが）、好きなんだよねえ。ex-suede、現tearsのbrett andersonとか。そういやbrettはどうしてんだ？
で急にcrispinがどうしてるか気になったので調べてみたら、2004年にhowie b、 will o'donovanと一緒に「mayonnaise」ちゅうcdを出したこと（早速購入）、2005年にgramercyちうバンドを始めたこと、cd maxi「hold on」を出したこと、2005年のグラストに出たことが判明。しかしレーベルredemption recordsのサイトを見ると、既にartist欄には彼らの名前ナシ…ページは残ってるんだけどなあ。バンドの公式サイトもmaxi出したときのまんま更新されてないし、このバンド、まだ続いてるんだろうか。「hold on」も入手困難っぽいし…さらに調べたら、ココで「hold on」のPVを発見、でもいまいち…どこにでも転がってる歌謡曲みたい。曲書いたヤツが悪いのか。公式サイトで聞ける「possibility」のがずっといい。と思ったらこれがいま聞けるgramercyの5曲のうち、crispinが書いた唯一の曲だった。やっぱしどうやら相当crispinのセンスが好きみたいだ。あの明るく壊れた感じがね。crispinのセンスを生かすには、たぶんこのバンドは違う。いい仲間を見付けて、早く帰ってきて。

っつーかこの曲しか知らないんですけど（爆）。
clap your hands say yeahは私の知り合いも好んで聴いているようなので、この前YOUTUBEで確認しました。確かにヘナヘナ声でした！久しぶりに新譜を買ってみようかな。でも怖いな（？）。

「lost myself」、名曲ですよね。
それが入ってるアルバム「the sun is often out」は捨て曲ナシ！の名盤です。
2ndの「mobile home」もむっちゃいいですよ～。
cyhsyはきっとだいじょぶですよー。
いまけっこー試聴できますし、ぜひ試してみてください～。
やつらフジロックに出演決まってるし。行かれるんですよね？
