サマソニまとめ：8/12（土）
「迎え酒」作戦が聞いたのか、ようやくフジの病も癒えてきました。サマソニはまあふだんのライブと大して変わんないもんね。1日に見る数が多いだけで、フェス的スペシャルな部分は少ないです。あったとしても、踊れるヒトビトと現場で盛り上がるくらいだし。
ではまず8月12日（土）分から。

到着直後にふらりと行ったらやってた。如何にも英国的でかわいらしい、ちょっとメロウなギターバンドという感じ。これから出るデビューアルバムはkeaneと同じプロデューサーの手になるものだそうだけど、曲を聞くと確かにkeaneぽいメロウさを感じます。悪くないけど、あたしははまらないのよねーこの手のには。

知ってはいたけどロクに聞いたことがなかったのでけっこー楽しみにしてましたが、こいつら、ちょい悪オヤジと艶女なパーティバンドじゃないか！いまっぽい〜。LEONとNIKITAが好きそうだぞ。本拠地はグラスゴーだそうだけど、同じスコットランドでもエディンバラからはこういうのは出ないな。グラスゴー恐るべし。

超なつかしいぞnina！しかしなつかしい曲はあんましやってくれなかった。ぱっとわかったのは「lovefool」くらい。ってちゃんと聞いたの、「carnival」の入ってる2nd「life」くらいだけどさ。あのときはスウェディッシュポップが大流行りしたからねー。しかしあのときはポップだったのに、その後けっこーハードになったと噂では聞いてたけど、なかなかロックでびっくり。ninaはモニターの返りが聞こえなかったのかやたらとマイクとモニターを上げろ上げろ言ってて、上げたらバランスが崩れるわマイクはバリバリいうわでえらいことに。それまで音よかったのに残念。

バムガムを本拠地にしてるバンドだそうで、もの悲しい感じ。ボーカルの子の歌い方がちょっとmorrisseyっぽいかなー。悪くないけど、個人的にはこの手はちょい苦手。なんかここでも途中からPAがえらいことになって、ボーカルの子がマイクやらギターやら床に叩き付けて激しい激しい。

次のcharlatansに備えて前進したら先頭までたどり着いてしまう。名前しか知らなかったんだが、何だかおっさんがえらく柔らかい感じで歌ってくれるもんだから、ついついいい気持ちで1曲ほど立ち寝をしてしまう（先頭なのにすまん！）。あとで調べてみると、けっこーアヴァンギャルドな感じで鳴らしたヒトたちらしいのだが、なんかほのぼののんびりくつろいでしまいました。

12日の個人的クライマックス！ほんとにひさびさだよぅ～（号泣）。最新作「simpatico」からももちろんやってたけど、フェスのせいかかなりなつかしい選曲。なんと2曲目が「north country boy」で、畳み掛けるように「then」だぜ！狂わない方がおかしいでしょう。で最近の曲を挟みつつ「weirdo」だの「one to another」（♪be my spider woman, and i'll be your spider man♪）だの「the only one i know」だの、しかも「jesus hairdo」までやるとはっ！いつぶりだよ～（涙）。トドメは「how high」（もちろん泣）。いやーもー最初から最後のお約束「sproston green」までずっと踊り歌い狂いまくってたせいか、かなりの時間（間違いなく半分以上）timが目の前で歌ってくれましたよ…ありがとね、tim。

アルバムごとに振り返るともちろん最新作が一番多いけど、1st「some friendly」と5th「tellin' stories」からそれぞれ3曲ずつもやってたんだな～。名盤の誉れ高い4th「the charlatans」からの曲が1曲もなかったのはさみしいけど、あれはrob色がかなり強いから仕方ないか…
位置取りは基本martinサイドで、martin絶好調！jonと「my beatiful friend」をjagz koomer mixバリの倍速モードで生で弾き倒したのには脱帽。jonはちとつらそうだったけどね。
でもね、「i never want an easy life if me and he were ever to get there」も「just when you're thinkin' things over」も「bullet comes」も「toothache」も「tellin' stories」も「forever」も「judas」も「love is the key」も「wake up」も「blue for you」も「try again today」も「apples and oranges」も、フェスの尺では聞けないのよっ！次こそ単独公演やって～（それともまた英国遠征かっ？！今秋冬のツアー決定してるしな…）

うーん…danceものというかclubものというかその辺りは聞かないわけでもありません。alternativeとの境界辺りは割と好き。chemical brothersとかfatboy slimとかjunkie xlとかprodigyとか。trickyとかportisheadとかのtrip hopもかなり好き。でもdaft punkはつらい。限界。あたしはやっぱしメロディがしっかりあるものが好き。音とリズムと光に純化していく度合いが強いと耐えられない。純化すればするほど多くのヒトビトの無意識下に眠っている原初的な部分に近づいていくのだろうから、受ける人数が増えるのはわかるけど、みな同じところで同じように反応するのがやっぱり耐えられん。やっぱ体に合わんわ、大メジャーなのは…

早実の斉藤君の生まれ故郷で私は仕事してます。仕事が忙しくてどれくらい盛り上がってるのか把握できないのがちょっと悲しいですけど。

実は私もcharlatansをちゃんと聞くようになったのは「just when〜」を聞いてなんですっ！
ピアノ弾きなもので、もーあの曲のピアノにはココロ鷲掴みされました。
あの曲が入ってるアルバム「the charlatans」の来日ツアー（1995年末だったと思う）、
いまはなくなっちゃった新宿リキッドルームでオールナイトだったんですけど、
あれはほんとに最高でした。なかでもrobの鍵盤がー！そしてあのコーラスがー！
次の年の夏にrobが死んじゃったときちょうどロンドンにいたんですけど、頭真っ白で呆然としつつ、
なんとかギリギリ間に合って、robの姿を見ることができたんだなあとか思いました。
おしごと、県をまたいで通ってるの大変！なんて一瞬驚きましたが、お隣の市なんですねー。
